Once there was an intelligent man who used to teach his kids great lessons ,” My dear sons, learn to educate yourself ; do not trust the glitter that gold shows in the world ; whatever rights you have , you can access them in your own country ; and the fear of losing wealth always surrounds your mindset, may be it can be lost all of a sudden or slowly”.” But the wealth of education is a neverending source, and even if a learned person is poor, he will never be upset or sad in his life because he will always have his learnings by his side.

Once in an ancient village, a revolution occurred.All the useless people fleed from there and only the intelligent ones became the king’s ministers, while the rich but stupid sons of previous ministers had no other choice but to beg for money on the streets.

And so, the father said, “ if you really want the wealth of your father, then learn the qualiyties of his, coz those are the ones which will help you sustain in life. Money, can be because lost in a matter of days.”

एक बुद्धिमान अपने लड़कों को समझाया करता था, बेटा पड़ना लिखना सीखो, संसार के धन पर भरोसा ना करो, आपका अधिकार आपको अपने देश के बाहर काम नहीं दे सकता और धन के चले जाने का डर हर वक्त बना रहता है| यदि वह एक बार में ही छिन जाए या वह आहिस्ता-आहिस्ता खर्च हो जाए| परन्तु शिक्षा धन का कभी ना खत्म होने वाला स्रोत है और अगर कोई विद्वान गरीब हो तो भी वह दुखी नहीं रहेगा क्योंकि उसके पास शिक्षा रूप धन मौजूद है| एक समय की बात है कि द्म्शिक नगर में गदर हुआ, सभी लोक वहां से भाग गएऔर तभी बुद्धिमान लड़के बादशाह के मंत्री बन गए और पुराने मंत्रियों के मुर्ख लड़के गली– गली में भीख मांगने लगे| अगर पिता का घन चाहते हो तो पिता के गुण सीखो क्योंकि धन तो चार दिन में चला जा सकता है|

किसी ने हज़रत इमाम मुरशिद बिन गज़ाली से पूछा कि आपमें इतनी उत्तम योग्यता कहाँ से आई| तो उतर मिला-इस तरह कि जो बात में नहीं जानता उस बात को दूसरों से सीखने में शर्म कभी नहीं की| अगर आप किसी बीमारी से छुटकारा चाहते हो तो किसी गुणवान वैध को ही नब्ज दिखाओ| अगर कोई बात नहीं जानते उनसे पूछने में शर्म या देरी ना करें क्योंकि इस आसान उपाय से आप योग्यता की सीधी सड़क पर पहुंच जाओगे|

It has become necessary to note that those people who do not have money, but, the dream of being rich, can also fulfil their mission through hard work. Goswami took Rs.10 as a loan and began his venture of salads, and thus earned millions by expanding his business. The only thing required was well-planned actions and hard work, and thus, through these, the entrepreneurial story of Frank Winfield Woolworth has been inspired.

Woolworth carried the dream of being rich, but he had no money with him. Without shoes, and any salary, Woolworth began working in a New York store, at the age of 21. After years of hard work, he somehow managed to borrow $300, and opened a store on June 21, 1879, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where every item was either of 5cents or 10 cents. By 1911, there were more than 10,000 stores opened in America and other Countries. When in 1919, Woolworth took his last breath, his net worth was nearly 3-4 billion dollars.in 1913, he had built the world’s tallest building known as Woolworth Building.

Hence, it is clear that in order to be rich, one does not necessary have money beforehand. What matters most is having a dream and a belief in it.

यह बताना अनिवार्य है कि जिनके पास पैसा नहीं सिर्फ अमीर बनने का सपना है, वह लोग भी अपनी मेहनत कि सहारे अपने सपने साकार कर सकते हैं| गोस्वामी ने १० रुपए उधार ले कर सलाद बेचने से कम शुरू करके करोड़ों रुपए की समाप्ति बनाई थी| सिर्फ अच्छी योजना-बंदी और मेहनत के कारण दुनिया के महान रिटेल व्यापारी फ्रेंक वुल्ब्र्थ की कहानी इस बात से प्रेरित है| वुल्ब्र्थ कि दिल में अमीर बनने का सपना था परन्तु जेब बिल्कुल खाली थी| नंगे पाव वाले वुल्ब्र्थ २१ वर्ष की उम्र में न्यूयॉर्क के एक स्टोर में बिना वेतन के काम करने लगा| कई साल मेहनत करने के बाद उसने ३०० डॉलर के साथ १८७९ में लेंकास्त्र में एक ऐसा स्टोर खोला, जिसमे हर वस्तु ५ तथा १० सेंट में बिकती थी| १९११ में उसके अमरीका और अन्य देशों में १०००० से भी अधिक स्टोर खुल चुके थे| १९१९ में जब वुल्ब्र्थ ने अपनी आखिरी साँस ली तो उस समय उसके बचत खाते में ६.५ करोड़ डॉलर था| १९१३ में उसने दुनिया की सबसे ऊँची इमारत वुल्ब्र्थ बिल्डिंग बनाई थी| तो यह स्पष्ट है कि अमीर बनने कि लिए अपने पास पैसा होना ज़रुरी नहीं बल्कि अमीर बनने का सपना होना जरूरी है|

In order to appear in the school function, I received a letter in English. I signed on it in punjabi and handed it over to my wife. She literally screamed and said, “ What kind of pageantry is this? Do you know how embarrasing it would be for your son, to show these signatures in punjabi in his school?” She immediately cut off my signatures with a pen and signed hers in English in its place.I thought to myself, that we are not mocking ourselves, instead we are doing the same with our mothertongue Punjabi.
